How do I install the app?
To install Custom Product Designer:
- Go to the Shopify App Store and search for "Custom Product Designer"
- Click "Add app" and approve the required permissions
- Once installed, access the app from your Shopify admin sidebar
- Follow the setup wizard to configure your first customizable product
How do I make a product customizable?
To enable customization for a product:
- Go to the "Products" tab in the app
- Click "Add Product" and configure your product template
- Define print areas for each product view
- Map the template to your Shopify product(s)
- Add the "cpd-enabled" tag to your product, or use our theme app extension
What file formats are supported for uploads?
Customers can upload the following file formats:
- Images: JPG, PNG, GIF, WebP, SVG
- Maximum file size: 10MB
For print-ready output, we generate high-resolution PNG files at 300 DPI.
How do I access print files for orders?
Print files are automatically generated when an order is placed:
- Go to the "Orders" tab in the app
- Click on an order to view details
- Download print files directly from the order page
- Files include the design in high-resolution format with placement guides
Can I use my own products and fulfillment?
Yes! You have full control over your products and fulfillment process. The app
generates print-ready files that you can use with any printing service or in-house
production.

What happens when I uninstall the app?
When you uninstall the app:
- Your store's access is immediately revoked
- Product configurations are retained for 30 days in case you reinstall
- Order history and design files are retained for 30 days
- After 30 days, all data is permanently deleted
